After four retrospective Delsin/Eevo Lute releases, Delsin proudly continues the collab with Eevo Lute co-founder Stefan Robbers. The legendary Dutch producer here uses his original Terrace moniker and presents four new tracks touching the brilliance of original Detroit Techno. Stefan Robbers was one of the very first in Europe to produce and connect with the Detroit oriented techno scene, with his debut release “916 Buena Avenue” on the legendary Djax-Up-Beats label as early as 1990.His Isolation EP brings four brand new trademark Terrace tracks. ‘Sonomatic’ has the original emotive Technosoul, reminding of early Model 500 works. ‘Sunset Route’ touches the European synth/Kraftwerk lines where ‘Magic Potion’ is a bright uplifting dancefloor mover. Closing track ‘Voices From The Moon’ finishes the pack with a more introvert and much darker approach.

TERRACE – PHOSPHENES
Release date: 15 December 2017
Format: vinyl 12”, digital

For release number 16 on De:tuned Stefan Robbers aka Terrace steps up to the plate. The veteran and well-respected Dutch producer from the city of Eindhoven unleashes four brand new techno tracks with a strong Detroit DNA for the discerning dancefloors. It’s everything you’d expect from a Terrace release: a crisp and warm analogue sound with plenty of melody and groove, dubby undertones and fat chords. The icing on the cake is the optical themed artwork created by designer Openmind (aka Strictly Kev, DJ Food, Ninja Tune). As per usual Matt Colton from Alchemy Mastering reworked the source material to guarantee a flawless listening experience. This release will be available on 180 gr vinyl. A digital release will also be available from all the usual outlets. Stay tuned!

The title of this 4-track EP is derived from a remark a friend made after listening to Mis-melodya. He called it a combination of electronics, dance and jazz put through a blender, resulting in a mixture that sometimes surprises, sometimes makes you smile, and sometimes even is an acquired taste. Mis-melodya took 1,4 years of shaping, putting back in the closet, opening again, closing again and finally with the addition of some live instruments, it was complete. In Etalage, the melody reminded me of the Showroom Dummies track by great pioneers Kraftwerk hence it’s name was born. Estroe took the parts and blended them nicely into her own great interpretation. And in haunted machines some parts seem to lag, others seem to run ahead until I finally accepted that this was inevitable…the tracks seems haunted and no fix for that.

This album is dedicated to infinity. Whilst experimenting with live dubs, the power of coincidence creates special musical moments. The echoes of a tape dub machine appear infinite, as do the decaying reverbs of a spring unit. I found it refreshing, challenging and inspiring to apply these aspects to my music. Freedom of expression through using hand and mind, not necessarily tied together, but applied separately to buttons, sliders, keys and pedals. I only have to watch the sky to realize how beautiful and timeless infinity is. Man has never come to grips with infinity. Confused by the failure to understand that what cannot be foreseen or explained, man created delusions like religion and deviations like war. But I think infinity is delightful, a joy to dive into, to experience and cherish. Looking at the stars, that which lies beyond comprehension attracts me tremendously. Infinity is inevitable, face it.

The cover photo is a nebula, surrounded by many star systems and dust in the cluster IC 1396, located in the constellation Cepheus. It was made by Rolf Geissinger, who was so kind to let me use it. To me it visualizes man in harmony with infinity, a person looming from the star mist. Take a long deep look and then look again. And again. You’ll see.
